No — and that's intentional. Karaoke King is a hosting platform, not a content service. You bring your own legally purchased karaoke library on a USB drive or local hard drive. This means you're not limited to what we offer, you own your content, and there are no per-song fees or licensing restrictions on our end.
Karaoke King works with standard ZIP files containing MP3+CDG karaoke tracks — the most common format sold by karaoke publishers like Sunfly, Sound Choice, and Chartbuster. Files should be named in "Artist - Title" format for the best search and library experience.
No installation required. Karaoke King runs entirely in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Open the browser, log in to your account, connect your library, and you're ready to host. It works on any Windows or Mac laptop.
When you start your show, Karaoke King generates a unique QR code for your session. Singers scan it with their phone, search your library, enter their name, and submit — it appears in your queue instantly. Singers don't need to download any app. It works in any smartphone browser.
Yes. You can create as many venues as you need. Each venue has its own singer roster, song history, and splash screen. When you arrive at a gig, select that venue and all your regulars are ready with their history and pitch preferences already loaded.
After 7 days your subscription begins at $15/month. A credit card is required to start the trial — you can cancel before the 7 days are up and you won't be charged. No contracts, no cancellation fees. Founding members lock in the $15/month rate permanently.
Your venues, singer history, and preferences are stored on the server and remain intact as long as your account exists. We don't delete your data when you cancel — so if you come back, everything will be right where you left it.
